How it works in 3 simple steps
- 1
Tell us about your health
Complete an online health questionnaire and meet with a clinician who is licensed where you live.
- 2
A clinician decides
Your clinician reviews your history and decides whether a prescription is appropriate. Choosing a product online is not a prescription.
- 3
Begin care if prescribed
If treatment is prescribed, a licensed pharmacy dispenses it, and your clinician follows your progress with regular check-ins.

Why Semaglutide?
Semaglutide imitates GLP-1, a natural hormone released after eating. It acts on the brain to reduce appetite, slows how quickly the stomach empties, and helps the body respond to blood sugar.
Different semaglutide products are approved for different uses: some for type 2 diabetes and some for chronic weight management. Doses are not interchangeable between products, so your clinician chooses the product that fits your indication.
Important safety information
Semaglutide and tirzepatide medicines carry a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors seen in animal studies. They should not be used by people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2.
- Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain and decreased appetite. They are usually most noticeable while the dose is being increased.
- Serious but less common risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney injury from dehydration, and severe allergic reactions. Seek medical help right away for severe stomach pain, persistent vomiting or signs of an allergic reaction.
- Tell your clinician about every medicine you take, especially insulin or sulfonylureas, because blood sugar can drop too low.
- Tell your clinician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy. Treatment plans differ in these situations.
This is a summary only. Ask your clinician for the full prescribing information and report any side effects to them.
Questions about Semaglutide
Is semaglutide the same as Ozempic and Wegovy?
Ozempic and Wegovy both contain semaglutide, but they are separate products with their own approved uses and dosing. They are not interchangeable simply because they share an ingredient.
How is it taken?
Injectable products are given once a week; tablets are taken once a day. Your clinician and the product label explain timing, dose increases and what to do about a missed dose.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. This is a prescription medicine. A licensed clinician must evaluate you and decide whether it is appropriate before anything can be prescribed.
Will I definitely be prescribed it?
No. Selecting a product on this site does not guarantee a prescription. The decision rests with your clinician after reviewing your health history.
Can I take it with other medical conditions?
Your clinician reviews your history, current medicines and any conditions to decide whether it is safe for you. Always share complete information.
What if I am pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy?
Tell your clinician before starting. These medicines are not recommended during pregnancy, and your clinician will advise on timing if you plan to conceive.
